Jedmar Corporation's system architecture provides a long list of unique features and cuts installation costs to a fraction of traditional CCTV systems. System Features
Remote Accessibility - View, control, and manage the entire video and control system from any PC on your company LAN, and/or via the WWW, phone lines, satellite links, or wireless PDAs. No special monitors or viewing software is required. Grant temporary password access to second parties such as police, fire, equipment providers etc. Operate the system from remote sites on any PC. Conduct video collaboration from multiple locations without conferencing equipment.
High Quality Images - Jedmar uses only the best imaging equipment from Sony, Raytheon and others. Motor driven glass optics provide extreme close-up views that enable real determinations and confident decision making as well as high quality digitally stored video for detailed analysis and video archiving. Displays can be easily configured for single camera or simultaneous, multiple camera views of equal or varied size.
System Security - Several levels of password protection can be used and encryption is available. Access can be as open or limited as desired.
Ease of Use - The Click-to-View feature on the video and panoramas, and the precision high zoom preset views make the system easy for untrained operators, particularly on narrow bandwidth connections that make "arrow" or "joystick" systems difficult to use. Automatic responses like event-triggered-video-storage, SCADA e-mailed snapshots, and the like are easily implemented.
Multifunction - Connect auxiliary devices directly to the camera enclosure for low cost, remote interfaces. Devices such as motion detectors, remote gate latches, process monitoring and control devices can be integrated with the system. Use the system to monitor operations by day and for security during off hours.
No Single Point Failures - Backup Relay Servers can be located at multiple locations with capability to switch to alternative routing - almost without missing a frame.
Bandwidth Manager - The Jedmar system is designed to operate properly and securely with any level of connectivity. For example, the system can be set to operate within an adjustable bandwidth budget to avoid slowing other applications. The Click-to-View features and camera-located video storage enable effective operation on very narrow bandwidth connections where joysticks, arrows, and VCR storage are inadequate.
Scaleability - The Jedmar Relay Server architecture enables many viewers at multiple locations, and it can manage one to hundreds of cameras. It is a simple matter to add cameras and additional functions at any time.
Positioned for the Future - Jedmar's open protocols and TCP/IP communication avoids obsolescence. It's easy to add additional storage, simple or complex motion detection, control of gates, doors and lights, inputs from process devices, etc.
Ease of Installation - Connect the cameras to your existing LAN, load the Relay Server software onto any LAN connected PC, located anywhere, and the installation is complete.
Complete System - No costly add-ons like multiplexers, switches, dedicated video monitors, dedicated wiring are required. The camera cost is a higher but the total system cost is lower than traditional CCTV systems. Jedmar can provide all associated equipment including brackets, poles, solar panels, radio systems, fiber converters, etc.
